Worse than a bridge to nowhere?

The D.C. school system received almost $4 million in federal funds for educating migrant children when it did not have any, city and federal officials said yesterday.

Though I'm not suprised the DC school district doesn't have any migrant students I am surprised the government believed they did. It makes you wonder how many other school districts have done the same thing.

True, except the bridge cost we the taxpayers over 250 million dollars to serve a population of around 50 people. Still, 4 million is nothing to sneeze at!

This is true. But if you think of it in terms of per capita spending, it's actually worse! (This is because you can't divide by zero people.)
